Why a ‘Religion’?

Introduction:

Before Moses received the commandments no one was born in this world with religion and after Prophet‘s prophecies all those who did not BELIEVE lost the right to live on this earth. But scientists/ Anthropologists says human lived on this earth millions of year before Moses, Christ or Mohammed (3 modern trinity= 3T). As per wiki concept of Religion and God or Deity developed in 3T between the 6th to 11th centuries (3T is the evolution of Hebrew philology).  

This makes me think why should one need religion?

Background:

1.            I have never read “comparative religions”(CR) as a subject founded by Max Müller (1823–1900) who had written to his wife that his task is to show Hinduism in poor light. In 2012 a Head of the Dpt. of CR of a Kolkata University was comparing Sri Krishna ordering the killing of ‘Karna’ with Koran Sura 9/ Ayath-5 (a Muslim can kill any idolater who refuses to become Muslim on the eve of Eid). I challenged him and lastly, he says I am not a Hindu” meaning since he is not a Hindu, he is not to value Hinduism. Is that what CR teaches? (He was one Chatterjee).

2.            One senior corporate Honcho’s research paper on YUGOSLAVIA & KOSOVO – A DEMOGRAPHICALLY ENGINEERED   BREAK–UP OF a COUNTRY, explained in detail the causes of the break. His finding matches with my study of Hagia Sophia of Istanbul, Notre Dame Church of Paris (a pagan temple, which Romans built after Julius Caesar led them to occupy the city in 52 BC). Hitler wanted to destroy this Pagan Temple. What I understand is, Europe suffered from a severe identity crisis which Christianity & Islam elevated. YUGOSLAVIA & KOSOVO with 13 different faith systems in place could not unite but as Christian & Muslims, they united and divided their land.  {Creation of Pakistan is different but of similar pattern}.

3.            A Bangladeshi history enthusiast Razib Khan wrote in http://www.brownpundits.com/2020/09/05/why-do-Pakistanis-not-want-to-be-descended-from-Hindus)) about subcontinent Muslim’s identity crisis and hatred against their forefather (HINDUS) also makes me think why we need a religion.

4.            One PIO scientist from the USA on https://enblog.mukto-mona.com/2015/03/02/why-i-am-not-a-muslim) made a feeble attempt to compare 3T with Sanatan Dharma and failed his aim of projecting value of Atheism, also drew my attention.

These FOUR arguments have compelled me to search for the truth.

Difference between Religion and Dharma or Dharma: 

Ethnicity, Nationality, Citizenship, Tribes or Communities, Religious identity or any other synthesis /conjugation seems to have a very thin layer of differences.  Sense of identity (individual &/or community) is the root of one’s confidence, courage, strength against desperation & fear.

 Before 3T

1.            Conquering fear of the unknown in nature and mystery of creation and natural phenomenon might have been the reasons for commoners to gather around a man who could enlighten them and infuse courage to meet adversaries and get enlightened.  It is these INDIVIDUALS who needed a supernatural power or God to convince people who did not understand what he understood.  Just like why a ZERO, =, -, % was needed for calculation and symbols of Ω) Ohms, Infinity (∞), ॐ OUM were needed to reduce words to explain meanings. 

2.            For 3T it was purely needed of social order in a given inter & intracommunity exploitation. To give a shape of religion, it took lots of time and logic, psychology and philosophy were applied to hold their flock together.  From the 6th to 11th century the concept of God, Allah, religion etc. came to existence by the participation of many people of Europe and the Middle East (as appears in the wiki). But BOOKS and its words are bindings right after initiation i.e. baptism or sunhat.

A RELIGION, therefore, is a CULTIVATED BELIEF SYSTEM which is infused with the Germanic word “god”(*Ȝuđan.)  & old English “guþ” comes from the 6th century Christian Codex Argenteus. Latin word “religio” means to join, or link, a bond/binding (also Diligence). To solidify the base of Religions- mystery, miracles, metaphysics, logic etc. were felt necessary and are adequately added up in their Book(s). Thereafter A deity or god is a supernatural being considered divine or sacred that has to be “believed”.

Monotheism- polytheism

Is nothing but condemnation process the EXISTING order of civilizations that these TWO religions have destroyed? Even in their Books “WE” word is in random use in CREATION/ Genesis chapters. Mono…, Poly… or monopoly, it is totally hoaxed. A country has ONE head but all citizens’ “rights” are secured by many officials on His /Her behalf.

Idol worshipping:

Who told it is bad? Their Books told.  Why? Because all civilizations they destroyed practised it. They say “Seeing is to believing”- their God or Allah is formless, why one should believe?  Any answer?  Why use statues in Church? Why use the cross, Crescent or Kaaba?

The answer is:   A large percentage of the human brain dedicates itself to visual processing. Our love of images lies with our cognition and ability to pay attention. Images are able to grab our attention easily; we are immediately drawn to them. Why should that be bad?

What does DHARMA mean?

Dharma is neither Religion nor Righteousness. Killing a woman by stoning is RIGHT in one religion but not right for others, thus Dharma is not righteousness but an unseen media of adherence to principles of natural phenomenon that governs the behavioural pattern of living beings including humans.  HINDUISM may be an “Exonym” and “Endonym” of it is धर्म ‘Dharma’ also known as Sanātana Dharma, “the eternal way” that is evolving agelessly.  Dharma ties /hold together by an unseen thread (see the attached image of the symbolic union of followers at a Temple in the Far East.

Since Dharma has no constitution or dos & don’ts or Haram-Halal it manifests in many ways and forms. NO HINDU BOTHERS ABOUT HIS/HER NEIBOUR’S mode of worship. Even within a family one worship the Female form, another Male form yet another stone/animal form. None is charged with haram or forbidden. Nor there is any Gentile- Kefir thing.  This is the reason we are the target of conversion forces since 711 AD and we are shrinking.

Theism and Atheism:     Conversion for demographic hegemony:

Theism means believing in God/ Allah. It is Fine.  Why does one ask this question? Do you ask if you believe in the existence & power of the Sun, Moon, Ocean, and mountain?  Oh!  They can be seen but how much?  Those who did not see their great grandparents, what about them? Should they believe or disbelieve?

For Hindus, so-called, atheism too, is part of our Dharma. It is inquisitiveness to find truth in a logical and rational way by keeping emotion aside.  Hinduism has many conceptions, perceptions and philosophical explanations which are not dependent on BELIEF but open to debate.  Many thinkers believe द्वैत  Dvaita (dualistic) could be theistic but when one transcendent FEAR of UNKNOWN, he is ready to enter the realm of अद्वैत  Advaita (Monism / non-dualistic). Many people consider Advaita as an ATHEISTIC philosophy. In essence, they appear to be right. Where I differ from their view is that it is still based on the dualistic experience सत Sat (pure) and (Asat) असत  Asat (impure). Once you enter ‘Sat’, there is no ‘Asat’. Then there is no theism and atheism. That is ‘निर्गुणत्व’ ‘nirgunatva'(beyond materialistic gradation). No differentiating attributes exist anymore. 

Those who think science advances without any philosophy or BS should think again. Newton saw a monotheistic God as the masterful creator whose existence could not be denied while SN Bose, Michio Kaku, Mani Bhowmik (lesser man) searched God in partials. The Statue of a Hindu cosmic dancer नटराज at CERN at Meyrin, Switzerland is a metaphor for modern physics.

 Work on the 4th dimension is on Hindu perception. Thus science never collides with Hinduism. Can we say the same for Abrahamic faith systems? I do not know.

Nobel Prize for autophagy (FASTING) is many centuries old Hindu science.

Religion is an organized & cultivated BELIEF system (BS) and Atheism is RATIONAL BS. But a present atheist is a REJECTOR or opposes BS.  {https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief#Exclusivism}.

Brihaspati is traditionally referred to as the founder of चार्वाक  Charvaka or Lokāyata philosophy. During the Hindu reformation period in 600 BCE, when Buddhism and Jainism arose, the philosophy was well documented and opposed by the new religions. Buddhism origins from ‘Godless atheism’. But because of BS, it evolved in its present form.

What is BS (Belief system)?

BS forms from Emotion, conception, perception, imagination, Recognition, realization and ends up with renunciation, liberation, Nirvana or moksha. 

There is a text that belongs to the Charvaka tradition, written by the sceptic philosopher Jayarāśi Bhaṭṭa, known as the Tattvôpaplava-siṁha, which provides information about ATHEIST School, who argued and debated even Ramayana, Mahabharata but FAILED TO REJECT.

In the name of Atheism you call Mother Mary, a whore or Sri Krishna a Casanova but afraid of calling the name of glorified sex maniac is nothing but Hypocrisy.

 In ancient Greek thought, three related concepts were identified regarding the concept of belief: pistis (trust), Doxa ( opinion and acceptance), and dogma.

Rational thinking also needs emotion. Emotion leads to psychology and Philosophy. Philosophy leads to verification of observation/realization thus comes the science/ creativity.  Psychology brings complex that leads to superiority/inferiority, possession, urge to conquer / acquire / avail /steal /Rob/ Loot etc.

To me, 3T are psychology driven “rigid” BS while all pre 3T are Philosophical “ever-evolving” BS. Only Hinduism along with all her children (Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism ……) is alive and hence Abrahamic fundamentalists wants to kill her so that no one can challenge the base of their FAITH system.

Here is example BS:

1.            A newborn baby is a Sinner (in possession of Devi / Satan & evil forces) for Christians till Baptized (for me conversion) for which parents and godparents take vows at birth.

2.            A newborn for Muslims is a) impure to be purified immediately after birth reading Kalema in the “Right Ear” by the father and rub date sweet on gums. B)  Imperfectly sent by Allah: to be corrected by a man by circumcision and FGM.

Anew born in Hindu is Narayan (Pure soul i.e. Atma, part of Paramatma वयम् अमृतस्य सन्तान). No religious rituals till 12 days when a name is given.  (The concept of DWIJO (twice-born or thread ceremony) is initiation, not conversion or purification.

Now tell me “atheists” what do you think by rejecting- which one for what reason?

Samuel P. Huntington in the Clash of Civilizations speaks of 9 civilizations and believes the next world war will not be between COUNTRIES but between CULTUREs.

There are others who say there was 45 civilization 44 of them have been destroyed by Christians and Muslims and the only living civilization is Hinduism ( India, Japan, South Korea ) at “sickbed with physical injury” (reduced demography and victim of willful condemnation) waiting for nursing and nourishing. Communism is a worse devil than Proselytism Vultures.

Christianity –       31.4%, Islam-   23.2%, Unaffiliated – 16.4% (who are they?), Hinduism -16%

Buddhism- 7.1% and Folk Religions etc. – the rest.
