Subhas Mitra : 22 Oct 2022
Neither the concept of Vasudeva वसुधैव (the whole world) nor विश्वरूप (Universal form) is any metaphor. All we need is some able one who can prove the metaphor to be a reality. I presume such a person was known as Jagatguru जगतगुरु, the preceptor of the universe.
Here is a Jagatguru :
A British, a German, an Israeli, and an Italian came to do their Ph.D. in Philology on the topic of ‘the most ancient languages in the Occidental and the Oriental world’ under the 68th Jagadguru Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, known as Mahaperiyava. He helped Vedic priests with their pronunciation of the holy Sanskrit texts’ teachings describing cosmology, epistemology, philosophical doctrines, and precepts on meditation and other topics.
Mahaperiyava asked the students to recite a particular sloka from Rig Veda which they did. Then he asked the Israeli student to recite something from Hebrew texts which have a closer or similar meaning. The discussion went on and after some time, he asked them to translate the Hebrew text to Sanskrit, not verbatim but also ‘alphabetically’.
Students were all stunned when they heard the sage recite the same. They noted the same verse in Rig Veda is present ditto in Hebrew, but the Aksharas have changed slightly. “In Vedas, it is mentioned that the world has been classified into 32 portions/regions. Like we say the Yamuna but in the North, it is Jamuna, Va in the south is Ba in West Bengal, Paa in Tamil, Haa in Kannada, etc) Therefore, the most ancient language in the world is the Vedic language!”

This is what Dr.Rahul A. Shastri of Samvit Kendra, Hyderabad wrote to make me understand why people read philology.
I then remembered Bhagwat Gita:
तत्रैकस्थं जगत्कृत्स्नं प्रविभक्तमनेकधा |
अपश्यद्देवदेवस्य शरीरे पाण्डवस्तदा || 13||Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 11, Verse 13 “Vishvarupa Darshanam”
BG 11.13: There Arjun could see the totality of the entire universe established in one place, in that body of the Supreme Godhead.
A question came to my mind “was it because of this the term JAGATGURU origin because our sages looked at the entire world as ONE and they might have been truly Globetrotters?
My attempt to understand Vishwaroop with the naked eye:
1. Sankhya Yoga talks of Purush (male/father) & Prakriti (Female/mother) as the source of creation on the earth (Shiva- Parvati…..).
2. ‘Urs’ tribes of Inca people of Peru who ran away and saved their lives from Spaniard Catholics massacre to live in lake, too believes “Himalayan lake ( Kailash Mansarovar) as FATHER and Titicaca, the biggest and deepest lake in the southern hemisphere is MOTHER of all the creatures on the earth.
3. Peruvian urban youth may talk about India as the land of Amitav Bachhan, and Hema Malini but Inca elders and youth alike call India Jammudweep, the land of gods. They are seen greeting Indian tourists with folded hands (Namaste posture).
4.. In Tamil lore we are told that a group of people set sailed from Madhurai or Konkan to a far country but due to turmoil in the sea/ocean surviving couple (s) reached the South American coast and lived there forever.
5.. Peter von Bohlen (1796- 1840) was a German Orientalist and Indologist and a professor at the University of Königsberg.
One of his most important works is entitled Das alte Indien (Old India, 2 vols., 1830–31) and Kalidasa’s Ritusanhara ॥ ऋतुसंहार ॥ (1840).
I do not read German nor understand but I was close to one German civil engineer while working in Jeddah, KSA, who was an admirer of Bohlen and he told me that there is a proverb in German which says Britain and Portugal looted Indian wealth but German brought Sanskrit and Inde- wisdom. There are lots of Sanskrit words adopted in Germany like “Lufthansa” their airline.
It is said that Peter Bohlen believed that King Mahabali महाबलि son of Prahlad (s/o हिरण्यकशिपु) who ruled from Multan (Pakistan) to Kamaksha (Assam) and down the southern tip of India. He was consigned to Patala पाताल (below the earth’s surface) by ‘Vāmana’ (वामन) Avatar and he sailed to Latin America and the place he landed is called Bolivia.
6.. Dr. Gene D Metlock, author of a. Latin America Were of Indian Racial Stock and b. India Once Ruled the Americas and The Open Secret of India, Israel and Mexico-from Genesis to Revelations and many many other books on ancient history has said that TAMIL was one of the forefathers of the Mexican Mayan people (1500 BC).
7.. Charles C. Maan in his book 1491 has written that Native Americans came some 15 -20K years before Columbus reached. But he does say from where they came.
Some Images are supporting:
a.. An ancient Tamil Pachesi (or Pachezi) board kept as a relic in the temple. The Tamils and all the tribes of Meso-America, from Mexico to Panama, played the same board game: Pachesi. RightThe Meso-Americans called it by a linguistically similar name: Patolli. (Note: CH and T are linguistically similar. LL was the only way the Renaissance Spaniards could approximate the sounds of Z and J. This proves that Patolli derived from Pachesi).

Pachezi (in Tamil) Patoli (for Meso-American)
b.. Temple musical (in hand) in Latin America

Damru in India
c.. The shoreline of Tasmania and Victoria about 14,000 years ago, as sea levels were rising, showing some of the human archaeological sites
Aboriginal dwellings in Hermannsburg, Northern Territory. (Tasmania is said to be closer to Lemuria( Kumari Kandan) about 14000 years back from 1606 colonization.

The map shows the probable extent of land and water at the time of the last glacial maximum and when the sea level was probably more than 150m lower than today; it illustrates the formidable sea obstacle that migrants would have faced.

f.. Ancient Indian boat of Tamil King.
Europeans of Hindu descendants:
8. The Pre- Christian people of Ireland & modern UK or the Celtic people had a social class system where the learned, healer, and priesthood were called DRUID (s). Christians called them magicians, wizards other bad words.

Druids are the elites and the educated among the Celts, an Indo-European people. ( Comparable to the ancient Brahmins).
Druids {‘dra-vid’ द्र–विद from दृष्टा–विद, seer of wisdom} conducted marriages and the couple went around the holy fire 7 times clockwise, believed in reincarnation, female trinity, and Karmafal ( causes &effects).
St. Patrick did GENOCIDE of pagan druids who had tattoos of Shiva Lingam with a snake on their arms. St Patrick got his orders from Pope Leo 1. https://irishmyths.com/2022/04/11/what-are-druids/
Author Barry Dunford is said to have referred to them as a migrant from ancient India in his book “The Holy Land of Scotland: Jesus in Scotland and the Gospel of the Grail”.
Anthropologists might differ based on the color of hair as Indians were never blonde.
9. Rígsþula or Rígsmál is a Norse god named Ríg (Brahma) the father of mankind.
10. Initial human settlement of Madagascar occurred between 400 – 350 BC and by 550 AD Austronesia arrived on outrigger canoes from Borneo.
11. In Australia (Tasmanian Island) British left almost nothing of the original inhabitant who is said to have lived from 40K to 60K years before 1606 -1787 colonization but many of their customs are nearer to those of the Lemuria continent (?)

Global Sanatan Dharma :
When I turn pages of a book or take a paper to write, I do not think of भूर्जपत्र / dried palm leaves or Papyrus plants of Egypt or Lei-Yang of
China for the origin of the paper. Similarly, when I come across people of various continents /groups I should not think of Vedas, Bible, or Koran followings as the lone identity of the person.
Before the advent of the Abrahamic religions, we all were identified by our geographical location. The word “Hindu” is quite late even in the post-Vedic vocabulary. “Dharma” was cultural or behavioral identity. Dharma is an evolutionary process that prevailed all over the world as hardly anyone could live without it. Once one tries to dictate or restrict the evolution of thoughts we become Abrahamic.
44% populations of the world are non-Abrahamic (Pew research 2015). Deducting 16% Hindu and 8% Buddhists, 20% of people remain following their respecting Dharma of their own and I call all of them SANATANI.

Images from Polynesia
This is an attempt to find if the above similarities between Sanatatis of other continents could be influenced by one another through migration or imposition by conversion or if each developed independently and the similarities are incidental.
A journey to Kauai’s Hindu Monastery of Hawaii via Polynesia:

Pre Christ religion of Polynesians is named Pantheism:

Pantheism is a religious belief that includes the entire universe in its idea of God. A person who follows the religious doctrine of pantheism believes that God is all around us, throughout the whole universe.
Pantheism is the doctrine that the universe conceived of as a whole is God and, conversely, that there is no God but the combined substance, forces, and laws that are manifested in the existing universe.
The modern definition of Pantheism includes
a. Hinduism of the Advaita Vedanta School
b. Kabbalistic Judaism ( Jewish mysticism & occultism)
c. Celtic spirituality,- a polytheistic belief in gods & goddesses. Egalitarianism, personal sovereignty, free will, free expression through language, laughter, voice, and speech
d. Sufi mysticism. ( Islamization of fire worshippers of Iran)
e. Bahai’I, the religion is Baha’u’llah, who believes in Abrahamic divinities + Buddha + equality of all.
The Maori people all belong to the Polynesian race arrived in New Zealand in several waves of canoe voyages between roughly 1320 and 1350. I could make out their traditions are influenced by Eastern (including Hinduism traditions) and Celtic spiritualism.
As per wiki &Pew Research, around the 7th century, Islam was taken to Thailand and Singapore by Arab merchants but Malaysia region by a Tamil Muslim trader, the Philippines by a Gujarati Muslim trader, and New Zealand by an Indian Muslim family ( in 1850).

Image of Maori people
Ideally, the Polynesian journey should start from New Zealand (2.7% Hindu) to Hawaii (10% Hindu) but as we know 300 BCE Chola dynasties were established and ruled till 1279 AD. During 8the century they reached their peak and extended/ expanded up to Vietnam and the Philippines which included the entire region till East Timor/ Papua New Guinea.

Chola Map
Let us find some similarities here before we set sail to Polynesia.
I am not covering countries where the British took Hindus as indentured laborers like Mauritius, Fiji, and some parts of Africa. https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2012/12/18/global-religious-landscape-hindu/
Philippines and Brunei:
Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and Korea (one of the princes of Korea married the Princess of Ajodhya of India), all have a common ancestry. They were Hindu before Buddhism reached their coast. All have Malaya language and cultural influence. Malaya was a worshiper of Sri Ram Chandra and so was the rest of them. Brunei kingdom was formed by Rajah Matanda ( Malaya Hindu) in the name of Sri Ram and followed Bharat ( brother of lord Ram) and fashioned their name as “ Paduka” ( symbolic footwear of Sri Ram).

Rajah Matanda ruled the Philippines and his statue still stands in Manila.
Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien is Sunni Muslim ruler.
Sultan’s full title is Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah .
The present ruler is directing descendant of Sanatani king Awang Alak Betatar (1368 AD- 1402AD) who became Muhammad Shah. https://bongawankini.blogspot.com/2012/04/kesinambungan-sejarah-bongawan.html
Spanish looters distorted the Philippines writes Mariano A. Henson in 1955 and the British captured Brunei in 1888 and ruled up to 1984.
The journey from New Zealand to Hawaii by sea:

European’s global exploration:
Shashi Tharoor, Sanjeev Sanyal, and Rajiv Malhotra often told us Europeans searched the globe to find India for wealth. But I think going globe hunting could be more on Papal Bulls with Royal patronage (Columbus was financed by The Queen of Spain) for the incomplete proselytization job of ‘Constantine’ (catechumen till 337 AD) than treasure hunting or adventure as they claim.
Brief on Polynesian Christianization.
Some traditional attire images :
a. East Timor: Portuguese: 1520, Dutch: 1613, a tiny island converted and made independence but many native Sanatanis and Muslims still consider it as a foreign colony.
b. Singapore Syed Md. bin Harun Aljunied arrived much before Stamford Raffles who claimed to have founded in 1819.Christians 14.8% in 2000
c. Philippines Land of Sabatini, 1521 Spain and Indian Muslims brought Arabs in the 14th century.
d. New Zealand Land of Polynesian immigrants ( 1250–1300), 1642 Church entered. Remained colony 1962
e. Tahiti Inhibited around 400 AD + French colony in 1880
f. Samoa+Tonga Inhibited for 3K Yrs. Louis-Antoine de Bougainville arrived in 1768 AD + Germany from 1899 to 1915.
g. Cook Island Inhibited 1000 AD (Polynesian) 1595 Spain colony.
h. Solomon Island Germany, Britain, and France between 1886 and 1899.
Became Independent in 1978.
i. Papua New Guinea Purely Asian: Church came in 1526–27 and colonized in 1793
j. Hawaii Islands Inhibited 400 AD (Polynesian and US mainlanders). 1898 become the USA
Conclusion:
I remember a song by Kishore Kumar, Rahul Dev Burman, and Lyricists: Anand Bakshi
Chingari koyi bhadake
Toh sawan use bujhaye
Sawan jo agan lagaye
Use kaun bujhaye………….
I can understand the role of Lord Macaulay, Oxford / Cambridge to manufacture Brown Sahib or robotic Hindus to rule India but why do George Soros like individuals and Harvard-like centers of learning manufacturing “Intellectual Human Bombs” ( Snakes for Rajiv Malhotra) to destroy India?
Is somebody somewhere getting frightened to see India’s ascension in the League of Nations or apprehending if India becomes like the USA, Israel, or Russia in economy and technology, a “chingari” or SPARK from India may trigger a global revival of a bygone era?
