(An Indian Perspective)
Subhas Mitra : 12 Dec 2023
Historians found writings of medieval Muslim scholars, travelers and historians have sincerely described the glorious jihad in India including the purification (read destruction/defacing/reshaping) of infidel’s idol worshipping places in India. They wrote (figures varied) that as many as 60,000 Hindu temples were torn down by Muslim rulers and Mosques were built on 3,000 of those temples’ foundations. Church also did the same but in fewer numbers.
This is nothing new compared to the Christian advance in Europe and America or the Islamic advance to Asia Minor and Central to Spain.
Except Hindus every ancient ruler also did it. World’s largest place of worship, the “Angkor Wat” temple complex in Cambodia, located on a site measuring 162.6 hectares was not constructed over any destroyed structure. Nor it is not remotely controlled by Hindus in India.
The global support Spain might have gotten during the reconversion of Muslims and Mosques or China while nationalizing Arabic Islam in their country is absent when Hindus are asking for only 3 such sites.
Why?
Hindus right from the beginning of destruction demanded the return of only THREE sites from Muslims. 98% of Muslims of the subcontinent are ex-Hindu/Buddhist yet they support their Tormentor and Convertors on one hand and sing secularism on the other hand.
They regret court orders and publically declare they will claim the Rebuilt RAM MANDIR when they overtake Hindus in demography on national TV debate, the way “Hagia Sophia” Church is now a Mosque in Turkey.
Nehru family loyalist Hindus also join them.
But Hindus did not want to follow the mode of destruction to restore it instead approached the Court of Law. One settled but two are in court.
Ex-Hindus think Hindus are cowards even though EXCEPT for Hindus no other civilizations could resist or survive Christina and Muslim’s conversion brutalities.
Some of the ancient sites:

Hindus have to always draw examples from our past aggressors and conquerors to convince even Hindus of India who have been in recovery from molecular slavery due to Stockholm syndrome for generations.
1. Considering Constantine the Great as the promoter of Christianity, the first Christian temple built in Europe is the Temple in TRIER, Germania founded by him in 320 AD
2. Second was Magna Ecclesia in Byzantium, at the place of Hagia Sophia, 360 AD.
3. A temple of the god Mihr or Mithras built in 77 AD stands (abandoned as all are converted away) as The Garni Temple in Armenia.
4. Old European religious beliefs stemmed from the gynocentric Paleolithic and early agricultural world, created by a birth giver, mother, root gatherer, and seed planter and concerned with feminine cycles, lunar phases, and seasonal changes. Throughout much of the Mediterranean, particularly in Greece and Italy, ancient pagan temples and sites of importance to non-Christians were converted into Christian churches and places of worship. 5. The Temple of Minerva was torn down and St Mary’s church was erected there in Rome.

Temple of Minerva Medica 4th century
6. The Basilica of Junius Bassus was made a church in the late fifth century. (https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=588967138&rlz=1C1ONGR_en-GBIN1079IN1079&sxsrf=AM9HkKngeYaXmwvCJ_Dm68Lg9ZE- )
7. The Basilica of Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains in Metz, France, is one of the oldest churches in Europe. It was pre-Christian Thermae (Roman public bath) becoming the chapel of a Benedictine nunnery re-constructed in the 11th century. (Ref: Haselgrove, C., J. Kunow. “Places: 108927 (Divodurum/Mettis)”. Pleiades. Retrieved September 16, 2021.)
8.. Notre-Dame de Paris (French) is the cathedral, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and is considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture built between 1163 to 1260 (wiki)
9. 1363 AD Timur (Hindu Bengali, Sharmila Tagore’s grandson) attacked Samarkand (Uzbekistan ) and is believed to have converted the existing SHIV-Temple into a grand Mosque by decorating and engraving Arabic calligraphy over the LINGA-shaped dome of the Temple and named it on his Chinese wife Bibi-Khanym (Bibixonim masjidi – in local language).

Position in India:
1. Ram Mandir: construction underway after long legal battle.
2. Varanasi: Supreme Court declines to stay ASI survey at Gyanvapi mosque. Muslim side says it reopens wounds of the past. They admit the “past” yet want to prevent the court from wanting an archaeological survey despite visible evidence.
3. Mathura case of Supreme Court?
In its verdict, the Supreme Court held that the site belonged to the Hindus, and ordered the construction of a temple at the site which has been the subject of several legal battles for over a century.
Now let us focus on Hagia Sophia the example of Indian Muslims:
Ram Mandir (RM) is not Hagia Sophia:
The Background:
Anti-forefather (Hindu) stand in Muslims of the subcontinent got firmly established between 1857 to the creation of Pakistan. Church on the other hand first makes a Hindu anti-forefather and then converts.
A Muslim NGO called AIMPLB says “they would take over RM from Hindus the way Hagia Sophia(HS) is taken from Christians by increasing Muslim population in India.
Communists and Church authorities feel it is obligatory to support Muslims to keep India “secular”.
I feel these need some discussion.
Some facts about Turkey and HS:
(My references are from WIKI and Historian Peter R L Brown of Princeton University)
1. This land where the Human settlement was established in 6500 BC was “Çatalhöyük “, which was inhibited by major civilizations – Hittites, Phrygians, Urartians, Lycians, Ionians, Lydians, Persians, Macedonians, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and Ottomans.
2. Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul….. are pre-Christian names. The era of the Byzantines began in 330 AD when Constantine moved his capital to Byzantium (now Istanbul) during the “division of the Roman Empire” .

Believed to be Original builder of the Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom, Ayasofya).
(The Barberini diptych, part of a Byzantine ivory work of art from the imperial workshop) of.
3. 312 AD – Constantine’s ‘conversion’ Rome fell to Christianity in 10 years but Byzantines did not surrender though WIKI writes Byzantine Christian.
4. The word “Pagan” originates here in the 4th century by Christian Roman ruler(s) to all other belief systems of the place who did not become MILITIS CHRISTI (true Christian). Neo Flavian, the dynasty of Constantine, became aggressive Militis Chisti after the death of Julian I in 336 AD.
5. Sancta Sophia (‘Holy Wisdom’), officially the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque (Turkish: Ayasofya-i Kebir Cami-i Şerifi)[2] and formerly the Church of Hagia Sophia,[3] is a “Late Antique place of worship” in Istanbul. (Re)Built in 537 AD as the patriarchal cathedral of the imperial capital of Constantinople, it was the largest Christian church of the Eastern Roman Empire (the Byzantine Empire). {Read this paragraph again to understand it was a “Byzantine antic place of worship” but WIKI calls it a Church}

Interior of H S then and now .
6. The image: of “The Barberini” the deity (in ivory) of late Leonid/Justinian Byzantine. Ivory leaf from an imperial diptych, from an imperial workshop in Constantinople in the first half of the sixth century. {I do not know if the word “barbarian” originates from these people who gave a tough fight to the Christians of Rome}.
7. Helen of Troy was a Seljuk (not Christian or Byzantine) who became Ottoman. Ottomans were forced to become Muslims in 1453 by Mongols, who were Mughals in Hindustan. By the 16th century, they were very advanced people of the region.
8. Turkey, a name given by the British on the name of a forest bird of Pennsylvania called Turkey. It was very much a part of Europe which they are to join by 2023 as per the post-world War agreement. Some sections of Turks are in favour of secular liberal Europe, some want to revert to KHILAFAT. (I feel India’s congress supports their Ottoman Khilafat faction). Thus India’s Khilafat supporters are dreaming of RM takeover by demography.
How Ram Mandir is different:
(Sorry the type of materials I was searching for I could not get on line)
1. From 1178 to 1206 Muslims took over Delhi from Hindus but Ayodha was a Hindu kingdom. The original temple was built in the early 11th century by Hindus and the same Hindus who still live as Hindus, unlike the people of Çatalhöyük or Turkey.
2. HS has no original claimers. Both Abrahamics claim on “legality” of ownership rights on the occupied property. RM has its original claimants. (Forget religious sentiment or beliefs)
3. “Yama Zatdaw” describes Rama dying by drowning himself as found in the Myanmar version of Rama’s life story, called Thiri Rama.
4. During Thiri Rama Hindus or Sanatanis did worship ‘objects’ beside ‘FIRE’ but worshipping Images of deities in the Temple did not emerge ( I am not sure about the era of Temple making).
5. From Md Bin Qasim onward Hindus were on run to find survival skills. In a linear chart of technical analysis “The Graph” was oscillating but heading down till severe most damage in 1947 and went on damage control without any bullish curve formation.
6. From 2014 the chart stated looking up while no Abrahamic nation has such a scenario.
7. Abrahamic people who have destroyed 44 out of 45 civilizations (Ref: SM) might have revenge apprehension but Hindu spirituality never propagates “revenge” as does their Books.
So cool down and live happily and try to become Indian. Those who think they will again destroy RM and build “ Babri or Nehru Mosque” ( for secularism) should remember no more remote control Hindu leaders are going to emerge to CASTRATE Hindus the way the British formed Congress did from its birth and made in England communists joined them in 1925.
Never forget:
6 December 1992, is a date that many people are familiar with.
But few people know that before this day, there have been 77 attempts to regain control of Ram Janmabhoomi.
With:
4 attempts during the time of Babur,
10 during Humayun’s rule,
30 when Aurangzeb was on the throne,
5 when Shahadat Ali was the ruler,
3 during the time of Nasir-ud-din Haider,
2 during British rule and
Once post-independence, during the tenure of Shri P V Narasimha Rao;
The struggle for Ram Janmabhoomi has been a long and arduous journey.
The other TWO are not so far.
Conclusion:
Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 9, Verse 23
येऽप्यन्यदेवता भक्ता यजन्ते श्रद्धयान्विता: |
तेऽपि मामेव कौन्तेय यजन्त्यविधिपूर्वकम् || 23||
BG 9.23: O son of Kunti, even those devotees who faithfully worship other gods also worship Me. But they do so by the wrong method.
For Hindus, all places of worship belonging to any religion are revered. @geonews_urdu & @jang_akhbar of Pakistan have circulated a Hindu Temple near Karachi being used as an office with a toilet despite there being Hindu citizens living around.
No Muslims in India who are secular and love plural society ever raised their voice.
The church today in India:
An ancient Hindu temple in a village in the Songarh taluka of the Tapi district in Gujarat was demolished and a Church named Mariam Mata’s Temple on Saturday, 2nd October 2022. (Source: Opindia).
I do not think Hindu patience is inexhaustible.
